blogspot problems anyone else?

Is anyone else struggling with blogspot now. I have written a post and between 'compose mail' and 'preview' Blogger, or can it just be my computer, is eating 2 paragraphs.

In 'compose mail' the script is huge, for those about to disappear paragraphs. What can I do? help help help ... Is it a Halloween bug?

Going to take a couple of days off. With my sister. In the garden. And try again later this week!

I have no problem with blogger today. Are you using the new editor setting? You'd better type you post in microsoft word first then copy and paste there. At least you still have a saved version.

I've never had that problem, but I feel sorry for you.
You have a beautiful blog.
I really enjoy your beautiful black cat.
A greeting.
(I do not know good English, this is the Google translator, sorry)

I had that problem when I first started the blog. I found that if I tried to write the blog somewhere else and then cut and pasted it into blogger the whole thing went doolally, especially the font size. Have you pasted anything into your post?

Whoa, thank heavens for WordPress, Diana! We Luddites couldn't cope with any technical problems! Have fun in the garden and we'll see you when you return (hopefully without any further blog isues)!

It used to be I'd have problems w/Blogger fairly often...but it seems they've added a bunch of new features that make it easier for me to publish. So I don't know if others are having problems, right now, anyway. Hope when you get back you'll have no trouble at all.

Autumn Belle - I have copied and pasted thru 100 posts. Now it goes wrong.

Mrs Rothschild - yup. I always copy and paste ...

No problems here today although the Blogger site has been down a couple of times this week :( Hope that your problem is just temporary. Enjoy your break with your sister.

For me, copy and paste doesn't cause any problems. You need to save your post before doing preview, otherwise what new additions you type in will be lost if you click on a link in preview mode and redirected to somewhere else. Was there an error message?

Instead of editing the present disappearing post, try to create another new post. Have you tried this?

Have - when all else fails - read the instructions. Blogger in Draft has a new (June 2008) post editor. Will be trying that one for the next post!

Is you post finished successfully now? The disappearing acts also happened to me when I accidentally deleted some HTML codes while in compose mode. I think dabbling in HTML codes are the most scary and heart-stopping moments for me. I almost lost my blog! Proceed carefully and slowly when in HTML mode.

Be careful with Blogger new post editor. My experience is that Blogger is unstable everytime they introduce new features. New editor is good for large (XL)pictures but I find editing texts a pain.

I've been having recurring problems with Blogspot's new editor. Whole paragraphs suddenly change font without my doing, I think perhaps triggered by entering links to websites. And when I do a numbered list, it displays as numbers on the preview, but in the published post the list is displayed with bullets. Maybe these are just new system glitches, as Autumn Belle feared.

Barbara - methinks we are copying and pasting what the human brain sees. You know, the letters, making up the words. And Blogger is taking along the hidden, to us, HTML codes and formatting. Conflicting font sizes and spacing. Am now extra careful of copy and paste when quoting text. Also 'Preview' says in the small print. Is just to give you an IDEA of what it will look like. FRUSTRATING!!!
